Durham Regional Police Pensioners Association
The Durham Regional Police Pensioners Association (DRPPA) continues to represent YOU on many levels and on many issues, such as Extended Health Care & Dental Plans, Travel Plan, OMERS, and Federal & Provincial Issues.
ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATION The Pensioners Association has over 450 members. Although we are spread over a large geographical area, 80% of the Durham Regional Police pensioners still live within the boundaries of Durham Region, which makes it easy to meet up with everyone at our monthly coffee gatherings and our other meetings throughout the year. In addition to the Pensioners Association’s regular gatherings, the FOG group also meets on the first Wednesday of every month which is another great way to keep in touch with one another. MEMBERSHIP UPON RETIREMENT The DRPA normally informs us of any new retirements, however, in the event we don’t hear about your retirement right away, we encourage new retirees to reach out to us at dallan0425@rogers.com or 905-668-7013 so that we know who you are. Keeping in touch with one another is an important factor when transitioning from your daily work/personal routine into retirement. All pensioners of the Durham Regional Police Service are eligible to be a member of this Association. Dues are $10.00 per year. The DRPPA holds a General Meeting in the Spring and an Annual General Meeting in the Fall, both of which are held at the Durham Regional Police Association building. Additionally, the Pensioners’ Annual Picnic is held on the last Thursday of August. All functions will be held at the Durham Regional Police Association building except the Christmas Social. For details and location of each event, please contact DRP Pensioners’ Association President, Dale Allan, at 905-668-7013 or by email at dallan0425@rogers.com. |
